New OSR Products at DTRPG — August 13th, 2020

Is it me, or are people just now putting Artbreeder generated art on DTRPG as stock art? I think that's even lower than the "50 Drunken Penguins Found in a Cheese Shop" type products.

Seems a really light week, though.

Adventures & Settings

Sea Caves of Doom - Missed this from last week, I think. Ruined lair of cultists. 18 pages, $2.99

Misc

The Almanac of Fantasy Weather Volume 2: Europe - Want realistic weather (if your game happens to be in a specific part of Europe)? Probably not, but if you do, here you go. $19.99 and a ridiculous amount of pages.

  3. I enjoy Artbreeder a lot, but I don't get making a product out if those portraits. Everyone's free to sign up and randomize as many portraits as they want - sometimes my evening's entertainment is hitting that Randomize button :)

  4. If someone took an hour to make something that looks like a tiefling, I don't see a problem with giving people the option to pay $2 for your picture to save themselves the hour of work.

But I think it's a violation of Artbreeder's terms, since everything made on there is meant to be public domain.
