From Distant Lands is an add-on all about barbarians for the excellent OSR game Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures,
Basically includes a playbook for a barbarian character, rules for mass battles, a scenario, and barbarian themed monsters. And it's free.

Further Afield for Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures released
I really, really like Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures. But it sort of lacked campaign tools, which isn't a big deal for people like me (and probably you) who have dozens, if not hundreds of RPG books and such. But since this game was aimed at beginners, that was a big void. But it's been filled with Further Afield.
Just as Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures provides for an exciting evening of play with zero prep, Further Afield offers guidelines and rules to create and run an extended campaign in the same spirit. Now the players and gamemaster work together to create the myths, legends, and rumors of a unique setting. Included in this book are all the necessary tools to create your world, travel and explore within it, defeat great and terrible adversaries, and reap the rewards of adventures even further beyond the wall.
• Collaborative player-driven campaign creation for making your own shared sandbox.
• Threat Packs for dynamic villains and dangers affecting the world beyond the village.
• Helpful hints and systems for integrating new characters into existing groups.
• Rules for creating magical items through your crafts, deeds, or sorcerous powers.
• Four Threat Packs, including the Blighted Land and the Vengeful Wyrm.

More info on upcoming Beyond the Wall supplement
Beyond the Wall is one of my favorite OSR games, and the author just posted some more info over on RPG.net
Can't wait!
We have been slower with Further Afield than I had intended, but it is quite close now and I promised teasers back in December. The layout is finished on the document and it is going into final copy editing now, so I feel comfortable letting you guys know what to expect.
-This is our first full-length supplement and will be right around 100 pages.
-We have another cover from Jon Hodgson and interior pieces from the same four artists as last time.
-Further Afield gives guidelines for what we call the "Shared Sandbox" campaign. Using these guidelines, the group gets together and the players take turns telling the myths and rumors of their own game world, which the gamemaster then turns into a sandbox map for the characters to adventure around in.
-We provide Threat Packs which allow you to plop enemies and villains into your campaign. Using the campaign map and the rules provided, these Threats have continuous effect on the sandbox campaign as the characters adventure.
-New character Traits give your heroes just a bit more crunch to play around with and a reason for their true names to compel them to greatness.
-We give three ways for heroes to make their own magical items during the campaign. Only one of these methods requires that the character be a spellcaster.
Can't wait!

Cover art for upcoming revised edition of Beyond the Wall
Looks like it could be the cover to a Lloyd Alexander book. Which fits it perfectly. No idea when the new version of Beyond the Wall will be out, but apparently it will be a free upgrade for people who have purchased the game, so feel free to buy it now, it's really excellent.

Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures Review
Although the D&D phenomenon started with wargamers and quickly spread to college goers, children also flocked to the game. Almost everyone I knew in elementary school played it. The very original D&D rules were confusing even to hardened wargamers, and the AD&D books were extremely dense and written in a curious style. What largely formed the gateway for kids was "basic" D&D, first that of J. Eric Holmes, then later by Tom Moldvay and then Frank Mentzer. That child friendliness was lost in more recent editions, which was marketed essentially to existing gamers (at least in my opinion).
Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures from Flatland Games is an attempt to not only reverse that trend of child friendliness, but to actually make a game for children and young adults. That's not to say childish, but trying to capture the feel of young adult fantasy literature, where a young person is thrust into adventure along with his friends.
